Why does our language tend to become stiff and formal when we write at work? It's not how we speak to one another. My training is geared to helping people put more of themselves into what they write; although I have to admit that I don't really like the word 'training' - it reminds me of circuses. Most of the time I'm just helping people to rediscover what comes naturally to them.

I run workshops and programmes for businesses and public sector organisations in three distinct areas:

I also offer one-to-one writing coaching and mentoring; and with John Simmons and Stuart Delves I run the Dark Angels programme of residential Creative Writing in Business courses.
My clients include BT, Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Perth & Kinross Council, Standard Life, the Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Book Trust, Scottish & Newcastle and Tayside Health Board. |
